Weekly Inking Showcase: Grifter and Voodoo
Weekly Inking Showcase: Grifter and Voodoo... Scott and I didn't always see eye to eye on things when it came to the comic work we were producing, but... to be fair, my now Ex-Wife also made things even more difficult during that time. She simply wasn't always as supportive as she could have been. This came to a head when Scott sent me an email outlining what he was seeing and attempted to provide me with life advice as it concerned our work, which I wasn't prepared to hear. Notice I said 'Ex-Wife' earlier? I'm not saying he was right, but I regret many things about those days. It was decided, at the time, that Scott and I could both use a break, and DC decided to bring Marat Mychaels onto Grifter. Marat's pencil work was very different, but also fun to ink. Here are 3 pages from Grifter #13 featuring our first acknowledgement that Grifter knew Voodoo... whatever was planned regarding this Grifter long term... you'll have to ask Rob Liefeld. -Dave B.
