Poster Art Feature: Guardians of the Galaxy

For our first Poster Art Feature, we are going to take a look at this Guardians of the Galaxy event poster. The movie theatre near where I used to live years ago would have advance movie premiere screenings in conjunction with the local gaming / comic book store, Game On. These were very fun events. For several years, I was asked to produce the art for very limited edition posters given only to the attendees. I'm a movie poster fan and a collector and really enjoyed doing these. Here is the digital planning drawing and the final b&w painted art. This was meant to be a loving homage to the classic Star Wars poster from the 1970's. Enjoy. -Dave B.
