Weekly Inking Showcase: Grifter #12 Pages 1 & 2
For this week's Inking Showcase, I'm featuring the final inks for Grifter #12, Pages 1 & 2. What can I say about my time working on Grifter? To quote Captain Kirk, who reads from 'A Tale of Two Cities'... "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times". Scott was heavily influenced by Sergio Toppi, and we had many discussions and experiments figuring out how to best incorporate those aspects he wanted into our work on Grifter. I miss Scott, and I wish I could revisit those arguments with him again. The image you see here is the final digital version of this page. I found a huge stack of pages from our time at DC Comics. All the experiments and tests where we attempted to figure this out. Funny the things you forget about and find when you are moving. -Dave B.
